Bill Moggridge And Jessie Feller

Bill Moggridge, 1943-2012

Meeting of the Minds, Urban Age Institute and Regional Plan Association recognize with great sadness the passing of Bill Moggridge, a giant in the field of innovation and design. Director of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, co-founder of IDEO, and designer of the world’s first laptop computer, he leaves the world a better place.

Bill shared his insights with us at Meeting of the Minds 2011, giving a wonderful talk about the Cooper Hewitt exhibition “Design with the Other 90%: Cities.” The presentation demonstrates that while Bill made extraordinary contributions to design and innovation, he also thought about people, where and how they lived, and how their lives could be improved.

We will miss you, Bill.
