Charbel AounSenior Vice President, Smart Cities - Strategy & Innovation at Schneider Electric
Charbel Aoun joined Schneider Electric in 2012 to lead the company’s Smart Cities strategic initiative.As Senior Vice-President for Smart Cities, Charbel is in charge of defining, implementing and managing the group’s strategy, business development, business models and partnerships across the world.
Prior to that, Charbel was Managing Director in Cisco, and ran the Smart & Connected Communities (S+CC) practice in the EMEA region. In his 5 years at Cisco, Charbel was one of the architects of the S+CC vision and a key driving force of many S+CC activities in Europe as well as in new economies. He also worked across multiple geographies in business development, strategic alliances, technology and management consulting, solution and technology innovation as well as in large project implementation/delivery.
Before 2007, Charbel spent 5 years with Accenture UK in various senior roles such as eDemocracy practice lead, International Director of Technology and Operation.
Prior to that he was VP International Operations for a New-York based start-up.
Charbel holds an MBA in global operations and a BSc in Computer Science from Notre Dame University. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
